Course Structure

Each course adopts the following structure:

1. Objectives
  • Be clear about the major objectives each lesson intends to achieve.
  • Refresh your mind when you read the objectives
2. Reading Passage
  • The teacher reads the whole passage once. There will be role-playing of characters. Teacher and student take on different characters and read off the script, simulating real-life conversation.

3. Pronunciation Tip

  • Never go wrong with 100% native pronunciation!
4. New Expressions
  • Know how you can create new sentences with expressions used in the reading passage
5. Word List
  • Words related to lesson's topic will be introduced here
  • Expand your vocabulary faster with the technique of associative learning
6. Culture Point
  • This section describes some aspect of Korean culture relevant to the title of the lesson
  • All about traditional practices, korean slang, and korean sightseeing introduced here
7. Language Point
  • Understand the use of certain phrases
  • Use of honorifics
  • Use of idioms
8. Grammar Point
  • Grammar structure of sentences introduced in the reading passage will be explained here
  • More examples of grammar usage to help you in memorising a particular grammar phrase
9. Reading Exercise
  • Read related Korean words and increase your reading speed
  • You will repeat after your tutor to ensure that your pronunciation is as close to the native way as possible
10. Writing Exercise
  • One stroke less or one stroke more can make a difference to a word!
  • Write the words that you have learnt in the lesson here
  • Practice is the key!
11. Listening Exercise
  • Apart from writing and reading exercise, you must also learn how to listen and identify differences in similar-sounding words
  • At higher-level Korean learning, listening cloze exercises will be read at natural-speech speed and questions will be asked
12. Revision
  • Revision questions from previous years exam papers
  • Situational questions which require long answers
  • One-sentence question and one-sentence answers
